While the owners are away…
Okay, so I miss them a little bit but I really love it when my owners are out of town because I get the whole bed to myself! Sure, I’ve got someone staying with me here. They “take care of me.” Whatever! It’s more like mom and dad hired a personal slave for me. I’ve got him so trained. All I gotta do is jump up at his face and paw at him and he’ll do whatever I need. Sometimes I feel like playing keep away with the ball but I’ve also got him trained to turn on the water faucet for me, everytime I jump up onto the sink. Of course, going outside is a cinch. All I really have to do is bark and scratch at the door. My fav thing to do these days is swim in the backyard in our heated pool (heated just for me, thank you very much!) and so I get him to come out and supervise me when I’m doing laps. It’s not that I really need him out there but it’s fun to have someone else around who can make big splashes for me! I love chasing after flying water and then biting it in mid air. It’s so fun!
So here’s a story I was reading about this morning over bacon and sausage. It was from the Colorado’s Channel 9 News:
87 dogs that were rescued a week ago from Amish puppy mills in Missouri, are now being taken care of in Colorado Springs.
One of the dogs, Pee Wee, needed surgery to fix a hole in her heart. She will have to have a second surgery next month.
The non-profit Mill Dog Rescue Network rescued the dogs by out-bidding breeders at an auction. According to their Web site, they paid as little as 50 cents for some of the dogs.
The organization is hoping to buy a permanent home in Falcon, but first it has to raise $200,000.
Theresa Strader, one of the group’s founders, is giving up her job as a nurse at Children’s Hospital to take care of the dogs full-time.
“Giving them a chance at life seems so paramount to us,” Strader said.
Dogs can be adopted for $150.

I don’t know what I am but my mom is always holding me like a little baby and it really FREAKS ME OUT! She sings to me and rocks me (which I secretly like) and calls me her “little baby” all the time!! Like she gave birth to me or something. I’m just bouncy and full of energy and from what I’ve seen of adults, they’re always working and stuff and I don’t gotta to that so I’m thinking I might be a baby… Is there something in between the two? If so, that’s me!

I got adopted (me, Bonnie)! I am sooo happy here! I luvvv my mommy sooo much, I have lived here for over 2 and 1/2 years!:)) I (Blake) wasn’t really adopted, they got me from a backyard breeder. I have lived with them for 11 years!

Cuter Than Him She’s a Chiuaua Shi-tzu Cross and weighs ONLY 4 pounds………….we saved her from a horible death at a bad home where they never fed her. she was very scared.

i went to a pound and the pound was 1 where if the dog did not get adopted after a long time they would have to put it down!i rescued 1 and its name is max and it is a mix between a huskey and a german sheperd dog.it has 1 blue eye and 1 brown eye

Eeeyore is sooo cute, but not as cute as my dog.My dog’s name is Bart Simpson Heiart.I named him that because he plays tricks on me all the time just like the Bart on the Simpsons.He’s about 13 years old and I got him about 6 years ago from animal control.He was going to be put down the day after I got him if he wasn’t adopted.He’s a lab and I love him sooooooooooooooooo much!:D
